When we started thinking about ways we could improve our business this year we targeted our wedding sales. We have always offered wedding supplies in our stores, but we have never really marketed to Utah and Idaho brides specifically. Our lack of marketing in the past left us a huge window to work with as we thought about different ways to brand ourselves as a "wedding store."
The first area we have focused on is our website. We decided that it would be hard to convince anyone we are wedding professionals when our website has the look and feel of a party store. We are now creating a website with two completely different faces, one for our party division and the other for our wedding division. The Wedding face will focus on our wedding supplies and services all while providing a look and feel that a bride will trust, elegant and professional, with the same low prices. Our party face will continue to offer the same great services, but without the wedding supplies. There will be a button on the left side of each face to switch between the different themes.
The most exciting function of our wedding site is the ability to create and purchase custom wedding invitations online! You can walk through the process of selecting the fonts, the colors, the styles, and the invitations from your own home. Then you can see your invitation proof within seconds!
To offer the best service to our customers we will be putting a computer in each or our wedding sections. The computers will have a high-speed internet connection which will allow them to create their invitations in our store with one-on-one help.
We look to have this service complete mid-April.
